Nowhere was a 16-channel generative sound installation presented at the MDW Art Fair, hosted by Mana Contemporary. I developed a custom Max MSP program that generated 16 independent synthesizer voices, each shifting gradually in volume, tone, and pitch according to whole number ratios. Each voice moved through the 16 different speakers arranged so that the listener may navigate to different zones of the harmonies. Designed to run continuously throughout the day, the system evolved subtly over time, making each listening experience distinct, yet familiarly patterned.
